What is Education Technology?
ETS at UCSF Fresno is focused on providing our faculty and residents with access to innovative technologies as well as providing support for the wide array of systems that are designed to enhance the experience of our learners. Whether it's room reservation systems, online learning platforms, various media services, or 3D printing, we are here to support you and provide you with the tools and resources you need so you can have the best learning experience possible. Below are some of the services we primarily focus on at the moment, but we are always looking for ways to better support all UCSF Fresno employees in their mission, so if there is something you don't see on the list, but you feel is relevant to our services please feel free to reach out for support!
3D Printing
For more information on our 3D printing services please check out our dedicated page here.
25Live
25Live is the system we use for room reservations here at UCSF Fresno; any and all reservations are submitted and managed in this system. You can access 25Live through MyAccess; however, if you have never used or signed into the platform before, you will need to submit a request to be assigned the proper role to view and request the rooms available here at Fresno. Requests can be submitted in ServiceNow.
Academy of Mine
Academy of Mine is a new platform that UCSF Fresno has licensed. The future we have in mind for this platform is as a repository for all of our CME materials as well as fulfilling a need to allow external users access to course materials for our pathway programs.
Collaborative Learning Environment (CLE)
The CLE is a learning platform similar to Canvas or Blackboard. Faculty are able to upload information and assignments, create message boards for discussions with their students, etc. The CLE can be accessed via MyAccess; there is a section that is dedicated to Fresno, and new classes or modules can be created upon request. If you would like to know more or would like to explore creating your own class please submit a ServiceNow ticket.
UCSF Wiki
The UCSF Wiki can be found in MyAccess and requires VPN, WPA, or direct network access in order to use. This platform is commonly used for creating spaces where you can create repositories of information that don't need to be or shouldn't be available via our website and are typically for internal use only. Users can manage their own personal spaces and request new spaces for collaboration purposes.
Media Services
Part of our support structure is providing AV services for events and meetings here in the UCSF Fresno building. We are also looking to expand these services to provide other avenues for faculty, residents, and staff to create and produce content via other means like podcasting etc.
